Derek Appoints New Chief Financial Officer

| | Derek Oil & Gas Corporation's Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Greg Amor as Chief Financial Officer.
Mr. Amor has been with Derek for the past four years as their Corporate Controller and for the past six months Acting Chief Financial Officer. The Board is pleased at this time to make his appointment as Chief Financial Officer permanent. Mr. Amor has been a senior executive to public resource companies since leaving Coopers and Lybrand in 1985. In his 22 years in the resource industry he has been instrumental in the initial listing and subsequent funding of numerous resource companies.
Derek Oil & Gas Corporation is a Canadian based, publicly traded oil exploration, development and production company that utilizes enhanced oil recovery (EOR) techniques to develop new production from reservoirs in North America. Derek's current focus is on the further development and increasing production from their prime property located in NE Wyoming's prolific Powder River Basin.
